Character(s): V'sk, Nanami, Ziggy, Yosuke, and Munakata.
Setting: Asgard's kitchen; later the grounds outside of Asgard.
Content: Worksafe.
Summary: An unplanned meeting between five of the Asgardians (as Ziggy coined them in greeting); it goes surprisingly well.
Status: Complete.
OOC Comment: Normally an audiolog requires a recording (preferably in .mp3 format) to acompany the log or script, but given the accidental loss of said recording despite having actually recorded it, combined with the very detailed log, it's being permitted.

V’sk was digging through the pantries for food (despite them being chock-full of it, either out of complete lack of observational skills or because they didn’t have the food he wanted, probably both), when the noise attracted Chiaki Nanami, who sat down near him and began playing Zelda II. Though she noticed him, he did not notice her, and no words were said between them until another visitor, this one being Ziggy, entered the room, taking up a spot standing near them both. Nanami noticed him, V’sk STILL did not notice he now had company, until Yosuke came in, and just sort of drank in the bizzaro scene unfolding before his eyes. Like an intelligent person, his first thought was to point out the glaringly obvious.

“Um, Dude, Not sure if you’re aware, but your eyes are glowing,” he said to Ziggy.

Patiently, Ziggy informed him that he knew of this, although it had been said to him many times before upon first introductions. His calm and kind demeanor put Yosuke a bit more at ease, enough so that he crossed the threshold and entered the room and waved himself off to Nanami, introducing himself to her and swiftly lightly hitting on her in an awkward (but kind of endearing) college-age fashion. Nanami politely gave him her name back without looking up, prompting Yosuke to go around her and check to see what she was playing. Upon seeing Zelda II, a game from his childhood, he gave a small smile and started watching her for a minute, before Ziggy came over and curiously inquired what the strange device she was using was. Assuming that Ziggy was some sort of religious hermit, possibly Amish, Yosuke set about dutifully failing to effectively explain the concept before Nanami kindly filled in the blanks, calling it a device one uses to play games on. Ziggy asked to hold the device for a moment, to which Nanami agreed. Ziggy examined the peculiar device like a confused anthropologist, prompting Yosuke to show him how to handle it properly and explaining where his fingers should go. Meanwhile, although he’s noticed and occasionally commented upon his company, V’sk is still digging through the pantries until he finds a steak. Ziggy then noticed that actions appeared to correspond to events transpiring within the game, prompting a small discussion that Nanami weighed in on about science and technology, prompting V’sk to ask “What the hell is a science?!” but still appearing to have knowledge about what technology is. Before Ziggy’s initial question of how exactly the game works is answered, V’sk blows fire on a steak in order to cook it, causing Yosuke to yelp and nearly lose his footing. No one else appears all that surprised.

“Um, is nobody else going to talk about the guy that just breathed fire? Nobody? Nobody but me?” He asked, aghast. Ziggy, beginning to understand his lack of experience in the forays of magic, informed him of its commonality where he came from, before arranging a small demonstration VIA a tiny pocket of flame projected above his gloves. Yosuke, fascinated, prodded the small wick in wonder. This prompts further discussion about Magic and Technology in which Yosuke puts forward the point that humanity usually depends on one or the other, and in his world, Ziggy and V’sk’s technological advancement is some 8 centuries behind. Ziggy appears very interested and fascinated by this, but V’sk takes it as if it’s just another day on the job. They also discuss the prospect of different worlds and the connotations involved, Yosuke theorizing that V’sk and Ziggy’s world are rather similar, if not the same. Yosuke says that in his world magic isn’t really a thing, with his own experiences being the VAST minority, and is surprised that there are worlds where such experiences are commonplace. V’sk informs that Yosuke will get used to all this crazy shit, to which a newcomer agrees; Kyosuke Munakata, who appears to have been observing this conversation with interest.

After briefly introducing himself and questioning Nanami about her being alive despite his knowledge of her being dead, she informs him of how she’s alive, while being quietly guarded against him. Munakata then introduces himself as former executive within both hope’s peak and the future foundation, and that he’s read her file. After asking a few further questions, he excuses himself to the corner of the room. After referring to his lack of talkativeness, Yosuke while glossing over that talks to Nanami a bit about her games. The discussion of otherworldly unbelievable things having lowered his guard a bit about his own secrets, Yosuke attempts to summon his persona, and to his surprise, he succeeds.

Ziggy and V’sk do not recognize the thing on the whole but do recognize the process, to which Yosuke demonstrates small facets of what his persona, Jiraya, is capable of: augmenting his or others speed to superhuman levels, as well as being a spectral being capable of becoming tangible at will. Ziggy then shows off a little himself, infusing the room with positive energy as well as buffing the strength of everyone present. Some joking and silliness ensues, frequently with Yosuke at the butt of it, to which Ziggy takes note of Munakata carefully listening and smiling occasionally when humor is had. Yosuke then begins to warm up to Ziggy and V’sk as well, Ziggy because of his soft-spoken, kindly nature and V’sk because of their one point of similarity – they’ve both fought/killed gods.

Finally having some people to talk about with his crazy stuff, Yosuke becomes mildly happy before immediately realizing the one person in the room who isn’t from a world were supernatural stuff is AT ALL a thing is the one he actually likes the most, so he swiftly attempts to remedy the situation by informing her that he’s of course not crazy, and didn’t you see the running trick and uh heh. Nanami then smiles and informs him that it’s alright, she did see.

Immediately afterwards Munakata makes his way to the table, and rather abruptly but efficiently takes charge, informing everyone that organization is their greatest priority and that
“We were all gathered here under the premise that it was entirely our decision to join. However, if the foe we face is absolute evil, do you think the other side is bound by such a restriction? Or any?” This rings true to everyone gathered, so they all agree to list their relevant abilities and allow Munakata to call the shots for the time being. In addition, he reveals his sword, explains what it can do, and Ziggy explains his most relevant and potent capability: misfortune, using it to misdirect both Munakata’s strike to make it miss and Yosuke’s strike to make it live. He lists his assessments of everyone’s ability, praising Yosuke’s supporting ability and his combat prowess and simultaneously assessing that he is self-taught, needing of guidance. Nanami defends his ability, to which Munakata asks him if he would like guidance. Yosuke reluctantly agrees.

It now being Ziggy’s turn, Ziggy then displays his abilities to channel positive energy, cultivating of life, and Munakata correctly assesses that he is capable of channeling the opposite, though Ziggy’s lack of intent to ever do so is made equally clear. It finally being V’sk’s turn, he explains his ability to transform, and offers to show everyone that capability. They all agree, and they head out together. However, halfway there, Munakata pulls Ziggy aside and asks him to inform him of any further developments worth noting, after which he disappears into the ivory hallways.
